Physiotherapy intervention can be useful at any point following a sporting injury; helping to optimize recovery through correct advice and exercise, soft tissue mobilization, acupuncture or electrotherapy, or recommendations for referral onward to orthopedics.

Following a thorough assessment, your Physiotherapist will work with you to develop an effective treatment plan based on your sporting goals, lifestyle and current abilities.

Whether you have sustained an injury or not, at Lewes Physiotherapy, we can use Functional Movement Screening tools to assess you for potential risk of injury and develop a tailored program for injury prevention.

Your Physiotherapist also has personal involvement in a wide variety of sports such as: Surfing; Rock climbing; Snowboarding/Skiing; Swimming; Cycling; Running; Gymnastics and Golf. Through undertaking these sports, there is an in depth understanding of technique, terminology and mechanisms of injuries sustained from these.

Matt Waters and also additional Physiotherapist attached to Lewes Physio are registered to the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and are also fully insured and also DBS checked (Disclosure and Barring Service), that service formally being CRB (Criminal Records Bureau).
